We believe prevention is better than cure and recommend our patients and in fact the population at large to visit their dentists on regular basis. In the UK, Department of Health recommends that patients should be seen at least once every 24 months depending on their assessment by their dentists. For some this can mean as often as every 3 months and others once every 24 months. At Tudor Lodge our patients receive recall letters asking them to attend their routine examinations and we urge them, in the interest of prevention, to make sure that they keep to their routine checkups.

In Tudor Lodge Dental Practice, our new patients, whether NHS or Private, receive an initial 30 minutes consultation in which their oral health is assessed which includes full dental examination (radiography if necessary), oral cancer check, periodontal (gum) assessment and advice on prevention including recommendations on dietary intake and oral hygiene in order to reduce tooth decay.
