Hygiene Treatment

Oral hygiene is essential in maintaining good dental health in order to keep your teeth for life.

What is the difference between a dentist and a dental hygenist?

HygienistDental Hygienists are specially trained Dental Care Professionals working with the dentists who are primarily involved in Oral Health Care (mainly prevention of dental disease, including advice on diet, giving up smoking and how to best clean your teeth) and Treatment of Periodontal Disease (Gum Disease).

Their main role is to clean patient's teeth (scale and polish) by removing tartar and most importantly teaching the patient how to prevent it reforming again and the best way to keep the teeth free of plaque.
